My name is Art Gagné, and I’m a ABC Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist licensed in Florida with experience in fabrication, material science and developing new fabrication techniques and tooling.
While enlisted and serving in the United States Air Force, learned “attention to detail” as it had been drilled into me. Being a perfectionist made the transition easier and during this time became interested in the Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) Field while on Active Duty. Once I completed my Enlistment, began working as Part-Time at the Local “Brace & Limb” Shop while completing Prerequisites for a Practitioner Program. Adapting quickly, learned immensely while working closely with my mentor. This prepared me for the curriculum at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
Following my Professional Studies, relocated to West-Central Florida for my Prosthetic Residency where I became Certified in Prosthetics in 2005. Then moved to another Local Facility completing my Orthotics Residency and becoming Certified in both Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2007. Throughout this entire journey, the inventor within me began to document my ideas, sketch concepts and file them away. When the files came to light once again, realized I desperately wanted to address and pursue my own business goals. Happily focused 100% on my new endeavor while being cognizant of Patients’ needs.
